Some people delete their Tumble Generator Valves (TGVs) mechanically, but you'll want to leave the TGV Plugs in the harness for Cobb Custom Features like flex fuel, fuel pressure, and wideband input. If you are saying to yourself, "now ya' tell me!" there is no need to fret, you can purchase one of our TGV pigtails (link below) and get it fixed right up.
Subaru TGV Plugs come in 3 pin and 5 pin versions. The 5 pin style is used in later Subaru models and combines the older 3 Pin TGV Sensor and the 2 Pin TGV Motor Sensor into a single plug that does both functions.
What do TGVs Do? When the engine is at idle, the TGVs close and force the incoming airflow through a smaller passage to increase the swirl of the air/fuel mixture, resulting in an engine that operates more cleanly.
